Roughly 10.4% of Earth’s estimated 8.743 million living species is flora, or almost 910,000 species of plants, fungi and algae. While these total estimates widely vary, this number is generally agreed upon by scientists as being the most accurate. All scientists agree, however, that an inestimable number of flora species are yet to be discovered. Of the roughly 564,000 species of flora known to exist, the largest group is ~369,000 flowering plants (including trees). Many countries have myriad varieties of different flora as well as fauna species which contribute to the global total.
