The Ecology Prime™ Logo

The Ecology Prime™ Logo Graphic

It is a global symbol of all life in all its forms, resources, substance and energy that connect together to make life possible. The Ecology Prime™ logo draws them altogether in a design that has endless patterns and can morph into anything, living and non-living… because that’s what Ecology Prime™ is all about!  No matter where you are, what you do or what your beliefs are, this logo includes you and everything around you.

The logo design essentially pulls from the infinitely dimensional patterns presented by fractals, continuously repeating simple patterns in nature over and over… forever. In design, it has never-ending possibilities and connects everything.

The Ecology Prime™ logo shows 12 fractal slices within a larger fractal universe, all of which emanate from and join together with Earth at its core to create a cornucopia effect.  In the logo’s smaller forms, the Earth center appears as the Pale Blue Dot, a reference to the first image of Earth provided by the Voyager I space probe in 1990 from over 3.76 billion miles (over six billion kilometers) away as it trekked towards the fringes of our solar system.   This term was popularized by the internationally distinguished astronomer, educator and author, Carl Sagan, referring to the image as where all the humanity we know, in all its extraordinary life, beauty and uniqueness, contrasts to the overwhelming vastness of space, Earth’s interstellar neighborhood.

The original basic Ecology Prime™ logo design developed by CNS owners Jan and Charles Ison, graphic artist Jen Smith, and EP founder, Eric McLamb.

The logo was created as a collaborative effort of Creative Network Studios — led by owners and Ecology Prime™ cofounding partners Charles and Jan Ison –  their senior graphic artist, Jen Smith, and Ecology Prime™ founder, Eric McLamb.  The logo was initially created by the Isons and Jen among several other designs with this basic design being the clear winner.  The initial logo design was further curated, including the addition of the Pale Blue Dot and base color schemes, by the group with initial technical execution provided by Jen.

The logo’s infinite animation and morphing versatility was clearly understood by all… including color variations.  It can morph into the clouds of the sky, transfigure to a soaring eagle, then transform to a breaching dolphin, into a rainforest or a child’s face, back into its original form.  The possibilities are literally endless. This is the backstory of the Ecology Prime™ logo… your personal and global symbol for all life and living systems.
